Rolls-Royce SMR and Swedish Greentech Partner on BESS for Marviken Smart Energy Cluster

Rolls-Royce SMR Limited and Swedish Greentech AB initiated a collaboration to explore the role of BESS in energy clusters powered by small modular nuclear reactors after Rolls-Royce SMR concluded that the Marviken site is suitable for the establishment of two to four SMR power plants. Marviken Smart Energy Cluster will host fossil free energy production to enable planned activities such as Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), Biochar and Hydrogen, while supporting the needs of nearby energy-intensive industries all enabled by best in class BESS solutions provided by Swedish Greentech AB.
